Policy development normally follows the following cycle:


1.An author clicks Add a Document and it is put into Draft status while it is in development. Draft policies may be edited and may be deleted if necessary.

2.After the document is drafted, move it to Review status for selected individuals to review and suggest changes.

3.Once a document is reviewed, it moves to Approval status, where it is available to the individual(s) responsible for approving it.

4.When the document is approved, it is Published. This makes it available to all or selected groups of employees to whom it applies.
