Password administration allows you to enhance security for user accounts by setting parameters governing password length, expiration, and limits on invalid Log in attempts. 


1.Go to Management | Administration and select Preferences.

2.Under Server Options, select Password Administration. The Password administration screen will be displayed.

3.Enter the values for each of the following fields based on the security standards for your organization:


Expiration time for password: the number of calendar days a password is valid before the user is required to change it.

Number of tries for Log in attempts:  the number of invalid Log in attempts allowed before user’s password must be re-set.

Password length: the minimum number of characters required for a valid use password.


4.Press Save after making changes, or Reset to return to the default values.
